last summer I went to Long Island (Robert Moses Beach) with a couple of friends and it was amazing. The beach was absolutely beautiful and we had a really nice time. The sand was really nice the water was clean but fairly cold. I believe we had to pay around 10 bucks for parking, which isn't bad at all if you are a couple of people splitting the cost.
The area is really nice there are bathrooms available (free) as well as a restaurant.
Therefore if you live in the area or are visiting definitely check this out during the summer it is absolutely stunning.
